It’s the perfect time to order your Cold is Cool Passport if you are a Michigan Resident with a 4th or 5th grader. For the past two years, we have enjoyed discounts at ski resorts around Michigan for our son. We are missing the ski pass this year, as he is now in 6th grade.
How do you get it?
Visit the Cold is Cool website and complete an online order or print out the form. You’ll need to pay $25. Trust us, if you plan to ski more than a time or two, your pass will be paid for.
How do you use it?
Each resort has specifics in your passbook, which will come in the mail after you order it. This is a list of program details. At Crystal Mountain, the pass is valid with the purchase of an adult ski pass. Blackout dates do apply including from Christmas Eve to New Years Day, MLK holiday weekend, and President’s Day.
During the two years that our son had the pass, we enjoyed visiting ski resorts we might not otherwise check out. It was also great to encourage other families with similar-age kids to get their passes, too, for family playdates!
Thanks to the Michigan Snowsports Industries Association for making this special, inclusive ski program available!
If you would like to use your Cold is Cool pass at Crystal Mountain, check out the Laughing Moose Lodge for accommodations!
