Planning is strange in 2020, but vacation rentals can be a shiny star on your calendar. We know many of you are yearning for something to look forward to!

Laughing Moose Lodge rentals are available twelve months in advance. VRBO has some general suggestions for when to book in 2020. 

Based on 2020-21 and also previous trends at Crystal Mountain, here are the busiest times with long-term booking demand include:

• Ski Season: December through February can be booked up well in advance and bookings tend to be slated by October/November.
• Summer:  Family retreats and summer memories tend to book up quickly. You may want to get organized 9-12 months out. 
• Holidays: Long weekends and traditional holidays are increasingly popular for family and friends. Make sure you’re planning ahead to ensure your preferred location for once-in-a-lifetime memories.

Shoulder seasons can be more available and affordable:

• Fall: Northern Michigan offers stunning fall color and weather can be terrific. Book your adult golf outing, girls weekend, or color tour in this season for best rates and less crowds.
• March/April: There is still skiing to be had in March in Michigan (although some years we wish there wasn’t). Sometimes, you can even ski during spring break. And the Michigan thaw can be an exuberant time which is easier to book.
